Religious Politicians
Burnie Sanders asked Russell T. Vought "is it true if he believes all non-Christians are condemned?" This is not an appropriate question. However, the problem is, every religious person regardless of his faith Muslim, Christian or Jew has a similar belief. If Bernie Sanders asks this question to a true Muslim or Jew candidate who doesn't lie, he will get the same answer. Christians believe no heaven without the salvation of Jesus. Islam considers the non-believers of Allah and Mohamed infidels and they should die and go to hell. The Traditional Jews believe they are the chosen people of God, Jesus is a fake Messiah, Mohamed is not a true messenger from God and the rest of the world is pagan.
Religion should be separate from The State.
However, it is dangerous to choose a religious politician who believes the rapture and end of days will happen in his or her lifetime (20% of Americans). How is he supposed to make decisions about the future to protect us and our children?
It is dangerous to choose a religious politician who follows a book that says people of other faiths or homosexuals deserve to die. How fair is he or she going to be?
It is dangerous to choose a religious person who stops breakthrough medical research like Team Cell Researchers because he or she believes there is a soul in 150 cells zygote on a Pettry dish, or in a sperm or an ova.
It is dangerous to choose a religious politician who would rather pray for rain than dig a canal, build a dam or stop global warming.
